Rangers International and Rivers United have been handed their first continental tests after CAF completed the preliminary-round draw for Africa’s premier club competition.
Rangers will face SOBEMAP FC of Benin, while Rivers United have been paired with FC San Pedro of Côte d’Ivoire in the first preliminary round.

CAF confirmed that 61 clubs have entered the 2026/27 Champions League, creating another crowded route towards the group stage and eventually the continental crown.
