Eniola Bolaji has delivered another international title for Nigeria.
The Paralympic bronze medallist defeated Brazil’s Kauana Beckenkamp 21–12, 21–12 to win the women’s singles SL3 title at the 2026 Peru Para Badminton International in Lima.
The victory completed another successful international outing for one of Nigeria’s leading Para athletes, with Bolaji taking control of the final in straight games and denying Beckenkamp the chance to force a decider.
For Bolaji, the result adds more weight to a career that already carries historic significance for Nigeria and Africa.
At the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, she won bronze in the women’s singles SL3 event, becoming the first African badminton player to win a medal at either the Olympic or Paralympic Games.
Now she has returned to the top of an international podium.
Bolaji won all four of her matches in straight games and conceded only 47 points during the competition, underlining the scale of her run through the tournament.
The Peru triumph keeps Bolaji’s international momentum moving and reinforces her status as one of Nigeria’s leading medal threats in Para sport.
There was no third game required in Lima.
Bolaji took control, closed the final in two, and left Peru with gold.
