Mary Mamudu struck in first-half stoppage time as Nigeria’s Falconets defeated Poland 1-0, giving Moses Aduku’s side a winning result in their final build-up to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The Falconets have two final warm-up matches against Poland and South Korea before opening their U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign against Spain.
Spain’s World Cup final win over Argentina was not just a 1-0 result. FIFA match-centre data shows a final shaped by Spanish control, territorial pressure and Argentina’s inability to threaten.
