That is the early Fantasy Premier League puzzle surrounding Fulham’s Nigerian pair Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Fulham’s official FPL pricing release confirms that Iwobi and Bassey both finished last season on 103 points. But the new game has separated them financially: Iwobi costs £5.5m, while Bassey is available for £4.5m.
That £1m gap creates a straightforward selection fight.
Iwobi offers the midfield route. Bassey offers the cheaper defensive entry.
Neither price guarantees what happens next, and last season’s matching totals do not mean the two Nigerians will reproduce identical returns. But for managers working inside a fixed FPL budget, their official prices turn the Fulham pair into an immediate value comparison.
The official Fantasy Premier League game is already live for 2026/27, with Gameweek 1 running from 21 to 24 August. Fulham open their league campaign at home to Chelsea on Monday, 24 August.
