Harry Kane has another European scoring crown.
The Bayern Munich striker has won the 2025/26 European Golden Shoe after scoring 36 Bundesliga goals and finishing top of the continental ranking with 72 points.
The award is the second European Golden Shoe of Kane’s career after his first triumph in the 2023/24 season.
And this time, the gap to Europe’s other elite scorers was emphatic.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland finished second with 54 points from 27 league goals, while Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé placed third with 50 points after scoring 25 times.
Kane did not merely edge the race. He finished 18 points clear of Haaland.
The England captain’s 36-goal Bundesliga campaign also delivered another landmark: a third consecutive German top-flight scoring title.
Bayern confirmed that Kane became the first player to score more than 25 goals and finish as Bundesliga top scorer in each of his first three seasons in the competition.
His league numbers underlined the scale of the campaign.
Kane averaged a Bundesliga goal every 66 minutes and struck four league hat-tricks as Bayern powered through the season.
The damage extended beyond the domestic scoring race.
Bayern recorded Kane finishing the campaign with 61 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions as the German giants completed a Bundesliga and DFB Cup double.
But the European Golden Shoe remains a particularly clean measure of his league dominance.
The ranking uses a weighted points system based on league strength, with goals in Europe’s leading domestic competitions carrying a factor of two.
Kane’s 36 Bundesliga goals therefore delivered 72 points, enough to leave Haaland and Mbappé behind.
England Football confirmed today that Kane had been awarded the 2025/26 Golden Shoe, adding another individual honour to a season already loaded with goals and trophies.
For Kane, the achievement further strengthens an extraordinary three-year scoring run in Germany. He arrived at Bayern with one of Europe’s strongest goal scoring reputations.
Three Bundesliga campaigns later, he has three straight scoring titles and two European Golden Shoes. The 61-goal total across all competitions shows how destructive the wider season became.
But the number that defines this award is simpler.
Thirty-six league goals.
Seventy-two points.
Europe had Haaland. Europe had Mbappé.
