Burkina Faso secured the WAFU B qualification ticket for the next U-20 Africa Cup of Nations alongside hosts Ghana, leaving Nigeria outside the continental tournament despite reaching the regional final.
That makes Adeleke’s individual achievement stand out even more sharply.
Nigeria did not get the ending it wanted, but its forward still finished the tournament as its recognised leading scorer and one of its headline performers.
Now the pressure shifts from recognition to progression.
